Natural Wildlife Pond

Confronted with an antiquated and failing septic cesspool, Solace A+C designed and installed of a new natural wildlife pond in its place.  Once noxious and unpleasant, the terrain is now a thriving ecosystem providing food and shelter for birds, frogs, snails, dragonflies, and other local fauna.  The pond also serves as a meditative and therapeutic area for the whole family to observe wildlife and enjoy its peace and tranquility.  This installation was inspired by the book 'Builidng Natural Ponds' by Robert Pavlis, which proposes building natural ponds that mimic native ponds in both aesthetics and functionality without depending upon pumps, filters or chemicals.  Native plants, frogs and fish are utilized to manage the algae and mosquitos.  Completed in October 2020.
