Lenape Valley Foundation-
The Lodge Behavioral Health Facility
To address the escalating demand for mental health services, the Lenape Valley Foundation, a Doylestown-based mental health non-profit organization, sought to build a new branch facility on the grounds of the Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA. The LVF Crisis Center building houses three clusters of behavioral health activity; a Crisis Residential program; a Crisis Walk-in and Call Center program; and an Outpatient Services program. The program and design solution was a completely innovative prototype that sets the standard for behavioral health residential programs in Bucks County. The LVF Crisis Center was rebranded as "The Lodge", borrowing some of the architectural vocabulary in order to convey that this is a unique and innovative place where one can find momentary solace and refuge in a sometimes overwhelming and distressing world.
